Ryan5 have you tried to listen to Mayhem's De Mysteriis DOM Sathanas? This album got me into Black Metal, it's fucking amazing in every aspect- guitars, drums, Insane vocals. |

You can try Mayhem but I wouldn't recommend it because line between the stuff that you listen to now and Mayhem's style is a little thick so I recommend bands such as Immortal (go with the newer stuff first, such as the stuff from Sons of Northen Darkness), Taake and Behemoth (yeah I know it's not pure Black Metal but they are essentially what got me into Black Metal, as well as the other bands). Even I think that Mayhem and little bit of a aquired taste that I'm not acustomed to yet (Ive tried everything from the Deathcrush EP to Chimera) @pavel - If I'm interperateing what you are saying correctly, does this mean the entire Swedish Black Metal scene is not mainstream (according to some) |
